Kivu Lake, Congo.where man can never go.

This lake is one of the largest lakes in Africa, located on the border between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda. The deep water of this lake contains deposits of deadly and toxic methane gas.  According to experts, about 60 billion cubic meters of methane and 300 cubic meters of carbon dioxide are dissolved in this lake.  The gas is being produced by the activity of a nearby volcano and the decomposition of bacteria at the bottom of the lake.  Experts have warned that the increased amount of methane gas could be catastrophic in what they call an "overturn".  It is also called Limnic Eruption.  This occurs when the pressure of the gas in the depth of the lake increases
